La Lucia was amazing. It was perfect for our family as we have little girls that we did not have to worry about them anywhere. Everything was around us, we did not need to travel anywhere.

Stay in the area of La Lucia was great. Close by to a lot of places and beach is lovely.

The beach is fantastic and there are not many people, but it is close enough to Umhlanga for when you are looking for a more vibrant time.

Amidst all the hype about Zimbali and Umhlanaga, I much preferred the La Lucia area. It is only a matter of time before it too gets built up. However, right now it is lovely. It is relaxed and the beaches are beautiful. I would love it if a few more houses were available to rent on the ocean. Great spot! I highly recommend it for anybody travelling to Durban. The proximity to everything is unbeatable.
