I was at first a little bit worried because at night it feels dangerous to see that you are staying next to the industrial sites, but I was surprized by the quietness and the beautifull place where we did stay. It is just far enough from OR Tambo so that the noise do not disturb you at night.

The area is very close to OR Tambo International Airport. It is useful for a short stay or stopover.

There are s variety of restaurants in Kempton Park from family restaurants, Mediteranian and Italian restaurants to Portuguese and Indian restaurants. Personally I prefer Jose's in Ballod Mall for the excellent choice of foods and top quality service. For the younger people, I would recommend Capello's for a good vibe and some sushi. The pub at the Dros in Cavendish Square in Monument Road is very lively and a mix of old and young people enjoy the vibe. They have good choices for burge ... more

If you have a limited budget and need to be close to the airport, Kempton Park is the place to be. The residential area seems to be quiet and safe.
