About Kiepersol House

Only three and a half hours' drive from Johannesburg, you will find tranquility and peace with all the luxury comforts of home. Kiepersol House is ideally positioned in Mpumalanga, halfway between White River and Hazyview on the R40. From here you can visit all the beautiful places along the Panorama Route and the Kruger National Park.

Kiepersol House is a luxury three-bedroom, self-catering guest house that sleeps up to eight guests, with its own private swimming pool overlooking the Da Gama Dam and air-conditioners and PVR. Wildlife forms an integral part of Kiepersol House, since it is located in the secure Hazy River Reserve, along with the well-known Hulala Lakeside Lodge.

Don't be surprised if the zebra pay you a visit while relaxing by the pool. As a guest of Kiepersol House, you have the right to use all Hulala Lakeside Lodge facilities. Hulala Lakeside Lodge’s most popular activity is boating and fishing. No power boats are allowed on the water, which maintains the ambiance of peace and tranquility.

The main en-suite bedroom comprises a queen-size bed, a Jacuzzi spa bath, separate walk-in shower, and a TV with DStv. The second bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and ample space for two double beds. Both the main and second bedrooms have glass doors leading onto the wooden deck to the swimming pool area, giving you the opportunity to wake up to a great view. The third bedroom is slightly smaller and has a double bed.

The lounge, with cosy fireplace and a TV with DStv, leads out onto the patio and swimming pool area overlooking Da Gama Dam. The modern kitchen with granite tops is ideal for self-catering and includes a fridge-freezer, microwave, stove, dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble-dryer.

Kiepersol House is located in the safe and secure Hazey River Reserve. With only one entrance and a security guard on duty, access to the property is controlled very strictly. Internal patrols are added at night to ensure your safety. The reserve offers walking trails which cater for guests of all fitness levels, and there is also an easy stroll through the plantation.

This is our second visit and always a great place for some time away with the family. I would definately reccommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing time and a place that has it all!!! One thing to note - currently all pedal boats are out of service and staff are unaware of when these will be fixed which is a real pity as it is one of the main attractions, at least for us. Before booking I would confirm whether these are fixed.Anthony who is the caretaker is very helpful and a great guy - always willing to help.

Kiepersol House is beautifully situated, overlooking the lake and with close driving distance from Hazyview and the Kruger Park. The actual house is nice enough, but could do with some attention. The aircons did not work and the cupboards stocked with chipped or cracked crockery. The cleaning service was never arrived, despite a promise to do so.The splash pool is great for escaping the relentless heat and the layout promotes outdoor living.I would not return nor recommend Kiepersol house, unless it received some much needed TLC.

Stayed at Kiepersol house in .August. Having read previous reviews regarding guards at Hulala was expecting to be disappointed but we found the guards very good and friendly. The patrol found my husbands glasses and sunglasses and came around later to return them -exempliary behaviour cannot praise them enough. Kiepersol House was very clean and had all amenities .Only drawback was that as 2 bedrooms en suite 3rd bedroom guests had to use someone's en suite not practical in middle of night.

We were a group of 7 people who booked the Kiepersol House Unit L1 situated in Hulula Lakeside Lodge. To start with when we arrive to collect our keys for the house the guards at the second gate were very rude and asked us to spend the night somewhere else or go back and come tomorrow morning. Even with repeated plea that we have booked accomodation they were quite adamant. To add this we couldnt get hold of Mrs. Elmarie Horn over the phone with repeated attempts. Also the caretaker/Manager Mr. Anthony was out in Johannesburg as the guards told us. After waiting at the gate for more than an...
