Our intimate reserve is situated just 30 km outside Grahamstown, the vibrant heart of the Frontier Country in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. Our reserve is home to a wide variety of antelope, bird and insect species.




Bushmans Gorge Lodge is nestled on a rocky ridge, surrounded by natural Fish River Bushveld with caves and original Bushmans paintings a stone throw away.




Bushmans Gorge Lodge is an ideal venue for weekend getaways, corporate functions, workshops and private parties. We are also perfectly centrally located to explore the other attractions the Eastern Cape has to offer.

Beautiful setting! Petra was great, nothing was too much of an effort. Brilliant breakfast. Great place to stay with easy access to the main road and easy to find.

Hosts are young, friendly, very polite and charming - really make you feel at home. No polution,no noise,no busy traffic by cars and too many people very hamorny and peaceful atmosphere The place in rocky ridge, surrounded by nature withh wide variety of antelope, birds and insect species. Definitely we will visit again.
