Magic self-catering farm accommodation near Wilderness on South Africa's Garden Route Coast. This is country living at its most genuine: the four cottages occupy a quiet corner of our 86 hectare Toorbos farm, overlooking a large dam and some of our 60 hectares of macadamia orchards-the ideal place for family holidays.

Rest and relax on your own wooden deck, take time out on the dam for a spot of catch-and-release bass fishing, enjoy walking or mountain biking on the farm or in the surrounding forests and countryside, take a quick drive to the quiet of Wilderness' endless, almost-deserted beaches or to the excitement and glitz of the Garden Route Mall in George.

Toorbos Cottages are fully equipped for four to six guests each. Equipment is first class, with Russell Hobbes appliances in our kitchens, wide screen televisions in our lounges and outdoor braai areas with Weber gas barbeques.

Great Outdoors: Toorbos offers a small boat and fishing rods with each booking. Each cottage has its own boat and jetty. The large 3.5 hectare dam is stocked with bass and guests are welcome to explore the dam and macadamia farm.

Honeymoon Romance: The Honeymoon Cottage is separate from the rest and guests are treated with champagne and a fruit basket upon arrival.

Relaxation: Stay in your own cottage at the lakeside. Experience only nature and no traffic noise.

Two one-bedroom self-catering cottages on the lake-side at Toorbos. Each houses up to four guests and are equipped with: fully equipped kitchens with microwave and oven. Luxurious bathrooms, TV, DStv, DVD, CD, air-conditioning and sleeper couch in our lounges. Cottages are less than 10 metres away from the waters edge and have Weber gas barbeques plus wood braai areas. Each cottage has its own Bass boat with rods and lures.

Two two-bedroom self-catering cottages on the lake-side at Toorbos farm. Each houses up to six persons and is equipped with: Main bedroom with double bed electric blankets and oil heater. Second bedroom with two single beds electric blankets and oil heater. Luxurious bathroom. Lounge area with TV, DStv, DVD player, CD player and two single sleeper couches. Fully quipped kitchen with microwave, air-conditioning and wooden deck with Weber gas barbeque. Direct water access and the cottages are less than 10 metres away from the water's edge. Daily cleaning service, bed linen; bathing towels, coffee and tea, dish-washing liquid and tea towels, bath oils, hand soap and hand cream, fire wood.

We thoroughly enjoyed Toorbos, the chalets are 5 Star, very comfortable and have everything one needs for a great weekend, including a lady to service the chalets. We will definitely be back again soon.

A gorgeous cottage on the edge of a very scenic dam - we were quite impressed by the outside, even more so by the lovely furnishings and good quality of all fittings inside. Great stay. We'd love to do it again.

Our overall experience of Toorbos was lovely. Everything was very convenient, the place was kept very clean and tidy, and the men loved the fact that they could catch fish right there and also the boats that were made available. However, sadly we did not receive a warm welcome and we just did not get that hospitality that would have expected. But we just love the place!
