Great place but does not do food or day trips
Anne Tee, United Kingdom

Stephanie, the owner was lovely. We really enjoyed our five days here. The website said breakfast and evening barbecue meals were available each night - they are not. The Baz Bus arrived just as the last Supermarket closed, so there were folk arriving without provisions. We fed a few! We really enjoyed talking to other travellers. We had our own car to visit De Hoop and Bontebok Nature Rerserve. We also walked from the lodge into the Marloth Reserve and to the historical centr ... more

Thanks for the lovely evening. Beautiful venue, lovely town, and even in the rain the cabins were comfortable. My wife booked the place for myself, my brother and a friend for a short get away, which was fantastic.

A truly unique experience, loved every moment there
Just what we wanted, simple and quaint

This was our second time staying here, and we enjoy the location of the backpackers. It is back from the main road so it's nice and quiet. We were greeted with a warm welcome and given a tour of the place - dining room, backyard where you can set up a tent, campfire and chairs around... It's nice that they have a variety of options for accommodation depending on your needs. They added an option for dinner this time, which is convenient for backpackers on the go.
