Clean, comfortable beds, secure parking. Not 5 Star, but the place has definite potential should the owners take time to develop it. Only complaint was that the second bedroom used had no key for the door, so could not lock up our laptop, camera and other valuables.

We loved our one-night stay at Spes Bona Guesthouse. Our hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was great the next morning at 7 am before we left. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Recommended.

Neat, clean, fabulous breakfast and a lovely, friendly hostess. We are sure to make use of Spes Bona's facilities again on our next travels through Colesberg.

Our welcome was warm, friendly and informative and it just got better and better. The room was well appointed and very comfortable and we especially appreciated the fridge and deep freeze facilities which we needed on this particular trip. The secure off street covered parking was excellent and certainly a bonus for our keen cyclist who had taken his bicycle along.
