Description

Get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Quinlands Farm Cottages is situated on a peaceful farm in Buffeljagsrivier, 11 km outside Swellendam, the third oldest town in South Africa. We are located midway between Cape Town and George, on a tarred road less than 2 km from the N2, with a beautiful view of the Langeberg mountains and surrounding farmlands.

Springbok, Rhebok and Steenbok, Scrub hare, Dassies, and Water mongoose can be seen, as well as numerous bird species including the Fish eagle, Stanley´s bustard, Secretary birds, and our beautiful national bird, the Blue crane. We offer over 170 hectares in which to walk, jog or cycle. We welcome pets by arrangement but in view of game, animals are to be kept under strict control.

We enjoyed the lovely touches of rusks and fruit. There was real milk in the fridge! Our two sausage dogs had a ball.

This was ideal for my preparation for the Double Century Cycle event early on the 26th with the knowledge that my wife could relax comfortably with our two dogs in the peace and tranquillity that your cottage afforded us. Very comfortable and beautiful views from the sunny verandah. What more could we ask for? Maybe just a shower head that needs replacement, but otherwise, the perfect spot for us to meet up with family. Lots of space for kids to play. We will be back.
