Olifantsrus is located on a citrus working farm in the Cederberg Valley just outside Citrusdal. It is only 180 km from Cape Town. Dominated by a rocky outcrop of weathered sandstone, these four self-catering units are set in a perfumed garden that looks out across citrus groves, offering a relaxing lifestyle in a tranquil contemporary décor. The spacious units are comfortably appointed and an ideal place to take your family out for a few days to explore the area.

The lively rural village of Citrusdal lies amongst green citrus orchards and fields of rooibos, buchu and wild flowers in spring time. Try to take time to go and have a look at the oldest orange tree in the country - over 250 years old and a national monument - which stands on the Hexrivier Farm in the valley of Citrusdal. Or even better, ask Juan at the tourism office to organise a permit to go to the waterfall just outside Citrusdal. For extreme outdoor lovers, you can rent mountain bikes from us and go for a ride, we can also organise a horse back riding trip for you. If you're hungry there is plenty of choice offered by the local restaurants.
