There are also famous tourist attractions available nearby which can be done as a day trip St. Lucia with wetlands and estuary is a 45-minute drive from Richards Bay who offers boat tours and whale watching. There is also Hluhluwe and Umfolozi game reserves about 50 minutes - one hour drive which has the Big 5.
