Wonderful

We had a wonderful and very relaxing time at the lodge. My kids loved the place. My six-year-old loved the ducks, chickens and the mongoose that was roaming around. My mom and dad loved all the antique ornaments and crockery - they are still talking about it. Gordon, Antjie and Victor are super fanatastic people. We will definitely go back and we are planning to do so very soon. I would love to post some photos as my son's 8th birthday was on Saturday so we had a little kiddies p ...

We enjoyed the peace and serenity of the venue-we really had a "lazy" experience. Did not however enjoy the sharing the kitchen and dining area with the other guests. We are private individuals and at the time of booking thought we would have the area to ourselves.

Facilities and accommodation were really first class. Very comfortable and loved the views. Hosts were very hospitable and helpful.

The house is ideal for anyone who likes to prepare their own meals rather than eat out, and enjoy a home made feast with a crowd of friends. Everything you need is there, no matter what cooking style you prefer, from braai to fondue. Bake or stirfry, stew or potjie, its all there. Big modern kitchen, indoor fireplace for winter and a huge braai on the verandah. We enjoyed our two days rest thoroughly.

The Lazy Lodge is indeed a nice place. Unfortunately by no means ideally located if you want to be close to the beach. You need a car to get there. The rooms and kitchen have all the appliances one can wish for. Unfortunately the dishes were rather filthy when we arrived and needed a complete clean-over. It´s a paradise for those who love dogs. A nightmare for those who don´t as there are many of them. It all depends on what you like. It can be wonderful, but it wasn´t for us. Unfortunately.
