Description

Jagerskraal Farm offer three fully furbished self-catering chalets in a valley in the Karoo, completely surrounded by mountains. The kitchens are fully equipped and have a fridge/freezer and gas plate stoves. we provide all kitchen utilities and bedding and towels.

The accommodation is ideally suited for people who just want to have a break from it all. When driving through the farm guests can see small game such as steenbok duiker and Vaal Ribbok as well as springbok, black wildebeest, ostriches and blesbok. Guests are also welcome to handle the farm animals, such as chickens, ducks, pigs and sheep under supervision of staff and at their own risk. For the more adventurous there is horse riding or donkey cart riding. The flower season in late August and September is something special for the keen photographer.

Extra matrasses are available at R50 per person per night. If more than five people share a chalet. A minimum of R350 is charged per chalet.

There are two newly built cittages above the farm and with good views. The farm is out of sight and sound of the N1 on a untarred farm road. The cottages are clean, comfortable and fully equipped. We enjoyed the evening sitting in front of a roaring fire and the feeling of remoteness. The breakfast was sumptuous.

Our stay was truly pleasant and offered fantastic value for money. The friendly managers stayed in contact with us prior to arrival to ensure that we would find their farm easily and quickly. We were just stopping over and requested a six o'clock breakfast. A fresh farm bread had been baked for us earlier in the morning. We had a wonderful time at Jagerskraal! Vernon, Hendrina and the rest of the team spoiled us so much and were friendly and helpful and the hospitality was out of this world. The breakfast was superb. We are going back and will be staying for a few nights. The newly arrived piglets were gorgeous!
