Just a bit of feed back-I would recommend this place for anybody interested in the History of the Anglo-Zulu war.The tour was fantastic(given by Rob Gerrard).Hotel staff were very polite.Food was wonderful.Andre,the hotel manager was very helpful and friendly.I ran out of camera batteries and he gave me some of his own-well ,thats good service.

Astronomy Weekend Special !!
Enjoy the battlefield tours at a very special rate including tours, accommodations and astronomy lectures at R2,700.00 per person sharing on a two night stay. The Astronomer brings telescopes and takes you on a galactic journey after dinner each night.
The tours and lectures are not commissionable. 10% can be deducted from the cost of meals and accommodation which is R1,500.00 for the two night stay, per person.

Isandlwana Battlefields.
Isandlwana Lodge is an upmarket facility built on the Nyoni Rock below where the Zulu commander stood during the Battle of Isandlwana on 22 January, 1879.
It is built of native stone with a thatched roof and offers twelve bedrooms, all en-suite, with private balconies.
The bedrooms and the main level of the lodge provide unsurpassed views of Isandlwana Mountain, the charming cultural village below and the mountain ranges in the distance.
Isandlwana Lodge is within easy reach of some of South Africa's major game reserves and it is an easy driving distance from Rorke's Drift and Anglo Boer sites as well.
Rob Gerrard, FRGS, resident historian at Isandlwana Lodge, takes guests on tours of the battlefields where he makes history come alive.
Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift are flagship tours. Other Anglo Zulu and Anglo Boer tours require prior arrangement.
In addition to Anglo Zulu and Anglo Boer battlefield tours, the Lodge offers photographic safaris, walking- and horse- trails and cultural experiences.
To visit Isandlwana Lodge is to step back into the vibrant history of the area and a sure to please place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of one of the most beautiful areas in KwaZulu Natal.
