Description

Gables Inn is an overnight accommodation situated in Colesberg, on the N1, halfway between Cape Town and Johannesburg. We have 43 units ranging from two, three, four and five bedrooms and five bedroom apartments.

Rooms are equipped with a bathroom, TV, refrigerator, kettle and it has safe parking. Our luxury rooms also have air-conditioning, DStv, microwave and kettle for coffee.

Restaurants, filling stations, supermarket and golf course within 2 km of premises. The Gariep Dam is about 50 kilometer away and we are situated about 500 meter from the N1 at the southern entrance to Colesberg, Our reception is open 24/7 and we are looking forward to accommodating you.

We knew it was a more truck-stop type of overnight place. And if you are a trucker, then this will be fine. With a family it was not very useful. The accomodation itself was neat and sufficient. The place as a whole was not family friendly. Value for money, yes, as long as you plan to arrive, sleep and leave. If you have too much time to kill with a family this will not work.

We had a pleasant stay, except for some extremely squeaky door hinges in our room (Room 1), as well as in room (Room 2), which woke us up as the neighbours entered their room and also while they were operating their bathroom door. Also there was no two-point plug to operate the fan provided in the room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Gables Inn, though it was only for a night on our drive to Knysna. The room was good with all the facilitie. I think the heater should have been closer to the bed.
