Passion for food & wine:

Ballinderry, The Robertson Guest House is owned and managed by the Belgians Luc and Hilde, who moved to South Africa turning 40 in 2005 after spending long and hectic careers in sports journalism and banking.

They had fallen in love with the beauty of South Africa long before and decided to start a new life in the charming wine town of Robertson, less than two hours drive from Cape Town. Luc and Hilde aim to please.

They are crazy about good food and wine and they like to share their worldwide experiences with their guests. Hilde is cooking every day, always finding new inspiration for her tempting 3-course evening menu which will never be the same.

With Ballinderry only minutes away from award winning wineries like Springfield and Graham Beck, the guesthouse is ideally located for a wine driven discovery of the area.

Other major attractions of Robertson are the brand new 18 hole Silwerstrand Golf course (just around Ballinderry’s corner) and the magnificent scenery of the Breede River and the Langeberg Mountains.

Ballinderry has five double/twin rooms and two deluxe garden suites, offering all modern comfort today’s demanding travellers expect.

The impressive double-storey thatched villa, situated in a safe residential area of Robertson, has been completely revamped into a boutique guest house, with Hilde and Luc paying all attention to detail, colours and décor.

With passion for design they made Ballinderry a piece of their own. Be sure it’s a never ending story: as they pick up designer bits all the time Luc and Hilde will keep moving things around. Never a dull moment at Ballinderry!

Facilities at the 4 star Ballinderry, The Robertson Guest House include top quality bedding (king, twin or queen), full range bathroom amenities, bath robes, tea- and coffee facilities, fans, air-conditioning in five rooms, hair dryers, safes, WIFI-internet (free of charge), sun loungers and pool towels and secure off-street parking. DSTV is available in a private lounge.

Luc and Hilde speak English, Flemish/Dutch, French, Afrikaans and German. Ballinderry has been accredited “luxury” and awarded the Chef’s Hat good food accolade by Portfolio B&B Collection.
