Lidiko Lodge is a well-appointed 4 star lodge centrally situated in the village of St Lucia, Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, in the heart of the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The lodge is family owned and managed. Set above the Great St Lucia Lake, on a coastal dune and with views of the lake, accommodation in the well-appointed 16 garden rooms is provided on a bed and breakfast basis. The main building of the lodge is one of the original buildings erected in St Lucia and with its thatch oozes an old world Zululand charm. It houses the reception area; drawing room; art gallery, showcasing the best of the local artists and crafters, a small library for guests as well as the dining deck with views of the Great St Lucia Lake.

All the rooms overlook the sparkling pool or magnificent lodge gardens. Convenient onsite parking is provided. The unit consists of two separate en-suite garden rooms with an interleading door between the two rooms. The main room has a king size bed and the second room has two twin beds. It has a private patio and entrance. The two family rooms which also serve as triple rooms are ideal for three adults traveling together or two adults with a child. It consists of a huge thatched rondavel type room with an en-suite bathroom. It is part of the original colonial building and also has a private entrance and patio overlooking the gardens towards the Great St Lucia Lake. Beautiful spot

Lidiko Lodge was a beautiful spot and very conveniently located close to town. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. The grounds, the pool and the breakfast were lovely. We stayed in the cottage which is across the street from the actual lodge. It was quite expensive and we were a bit disappointed in this aspect of our visit. I think the rooms in the lodge itself are much nicer than the cottage.

Sorry, we stayed only one night. Nice ,clean and very friendly. Missing Cappuccino and decent, Coffee!!!!!!!!!!!! Beds where perfect and Magazines where available

- the staff were friendly and helpful and I felt very comfortable as a solo traveller and I felt very safe. I had easy access to my room from my car parked on the premises.

Lidiko Lodge is a perfect place to stay, restful, quiet, tranquil, a lodge that has an almost bygone era feel about it. Friendly owners and staff, beautiful gardens and rooms and a sumptuous buffet breakfast every day, plus delicious luncheons and afternoon teas, what more does a person want! Plus there's the added bonus of the stunning St Lucia Wetlands and the nearby game reserves. Needless to say we had a wonderful time and will be back again very soon.
