Aan de Oever is situated on the banks of a small river, in an area known for growing fruit and vegetables for the earlier travellers, hence the name, Koornlands River. Aan de Oever offers a selection of well appointed and elegant rooms with majestic views over the Langeberg mountains.

Aan de Oever Guest House is situated in a very quiet street within walking distance of shops, good restaurants and tourist attractions. The famous Drostdy Museum is only 400 metres away.

Come and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere with abundant birdlife, sundowners in the garden, star-gazing or just relax at our sparkling saltwater pool which gets full sun for most of the day. Our town and surroundings have much to offer to our visitors, from heritage to wildlife. The De Hoop Nature Reserve is only 75 km away, Bontebok National Park only 6 km, the Robertson Wine Valley only 75 km, Tradouws Pass 20 km, hiking trails and golf course 3 km.

Aan de Oever is truly a hidden gem in Swellendam. We were so surprised by the combination of great service and a wonderful room. The room was very spacious, luxurious and romantic, and the view of the Langeberg Mountains was stunning. We will most certainly return in the near future.
